Water Features for
Private Landscapes
Water shapes the
atmosphere of a space
It introduces movement, sound, reflection and depth, bringing the garden to life and changing how it is experienced throughout the day.
A water element becomes part of everyday life — visible from the house, audible within the garden, and felt throughout the space. It affects not only how the landscape looks, but how it is lived in.
We design and build water features as part of an overall landscape composition — integrated with architecture, landform and planting — or as standalone interventions where water itself becomes the defining element of the site.
In our projects, water is not treated as an accessory. It acts as a compositional element that strengthens the space and connects its parts.
A waterfall introduces a vertical accent and movement. A pond establishes foreground, reflection and visual depth. A stream links different zones and guides movement through the landscape.
In some gardens, water becomes the central organising element. In others, it works more quietly, reinforcing the structure of the space and deepening the relationship between the house, the landform and the planting.

We create several types of water landscapes, depending on the scale of the site, the architectural context and the way the space is intended to be used.
Koi ponds and water gardens
Living water compositions with fish, aquatic planting and natural stone.
They are often chosen for gardens with direct views from the house, for clients who value a living and evolving natural environment, or for compositions where water is intended to become a visual focal point.
Each koi pond is developed as part of a complete scene, with careful consideration of levels, edges, planting, material transitions and reflected views.
Pondless waterfalls
Water compositions centred on movement and sound. Water flows through a stone structure and returns into a concealed underground system, creating a continuous natural cycle. This allows water to remain strongly present in the garden while keeping the composition visually clean and technically efficient.
The sound of water carries through the space, often becoming audible from inside the house and contributing to privacy, atmosphere and a stronger sense of separation from the surroundings.
These features can range from expressive cascades to more restrained streams integrated into planting, and are often suited to compact gardens, entry sequences or sites where ease of maintenance and safety are important.
Natural swimming ponds and large-scale water features
Water landscapes that combine visual presence with functional use.
These spaces are designed not only to be viewed, but inhabited — for daily use, relaxation, family life and hosting. They offer a natural alternative to the conventional pool and establish a stronger connection between water, planting and landform.
Designed around your site
Each water feature is developed in response to the specific site, architecture and client brief.
This approach allows the water element to feel grounded within the site rather than applied to it. The result is a composition that belongs to the landscape structurally, visually and experientially.

Standalone water features
In some cases, a water feature is commissioned as a standalone element rather than as part of a full landscape design.
When this is appropriate, the process can be significantly streamlined. We define the shape and position of the feature directly on site, carry out on-site marking and layout, and select equipment and technical solutions during the site visit itself.
Following this, a clear cost estimate is prepared, and construction can begin without a full design stage. This makes it possible to realise a considered water feature with greater speed and directness, while still maintaining compositional quality and technical integrity.

Process

Creating a water landscape
A well-designed water feature enhances the space by introducing depth, movement and presence into the garden.
It establishes an ongoing connection to nature and changes how the landscape feels throughout the day — through sound, reflection, shadow and movement. More than a feature, it becomes part of the atmosphere of the place and part of everyday life within it.
We can help develop a solution that responds to your site, your architecture and the way you want to live.
01

Design

Develop a spatial concept in which water is fully integrated into the overall landscape composition, shaping how the space is perceived and experienced.
02

Documents

Prepare the technical solutions required for successful delivery, including circulation systems, filtration, structural build-up and material selection.

At the same time, we develop a transparent cost estimate, allowing the full scope of works and the project budget to be clearly defined prior to construction.
03

Construction

All works are carried out by our in-house team, ensuring that the built outcome reflects the original concept with precision and attention to detail.
